Chicago Trip! {365}

We boarded an Amtrack train today heades to Chicago (5.5 hrs) it was our frist time riding a train.
We really enjoyed it! Better than driving and MUCH cheaper than flying.
There was a snack car. You could get up, move around, go to the bathroom, buy snacks, there were tables in the snack car, so we sat in there and played cards some. There were electrical outlets at our seats, so we were able to charge and power our electronics, our Verizon netbook got service, so we were able to get online.......a very enjoyable way to travel.- would definitely do it again!

Today is Allison's 14th birthday! We celebrated with a full day in Chicago, ending with a fireworks cruise/tour. You can see all of our pictures from Chicago (unedited) here

Shopping in Chicago.....she spent most of her birthday money in one store...Coach.

We stopped at this great spot on Lake Michigan where all of these boats were "parked" on our walk from Shedd Aquarium to Buckingham Fountain.
